The Green Room is a place of community, solidarity, inspiration and creativity, and a place of encounter. It promotes international dialogue and exchange and gives hope not only to the participants, but also to society in general.
— Dr. Roman Luckscheiter, Secretary-General of the German Commission for UNESCO

'The Green Room': a room for artistically-oriented support for the psychosocial and physical health and well-being of performing artists.

We help musicians, dancers and theater workers through residencies, classes, workshops, and individual counseling

Some artists we serve may be encountering personal difficulties and seek out our help. These difficulties may include feeling burnt out, experiencing a lack of focus, drive, or perspective, struggling with performance anxiety. Some of our artists are managing or recovering from a career-impacting injury.

Other artists we serve may use our residency program, leaving dangerous or unsustainable situations behind in order to start their artistic lives here.

Still other artists are committed to personal and professional growth, challenging habitual patterns, caring for their bodies and minds (their artistic instruments), and engaging with creative and supportive communities.

The Green Room responds to the needs and requirements of each artist we serve.

Artists helping artists

Each teacher, coach, mentor, or advisor at the center combines health-related expertise in various psychosocial and/or somatic methods with artistic activity at a high level which is deeply ingrained within their several years of professional experience.
