Mindfulness with each other / Weekend with Ulla König

Ulla König

Mindfulness and meditation often give the impression that we have to practise them "for ourselves alone", in silence and seclusion. Our everyday lives, on the other hand, are characterized by the countless encounters, relationships and roles that we repeatedly enter into and negotiate.

Our heart-mind (citta) reacts to the people around us. We feel attracted and insecure, irritated or defensive, connected or isolated. At this city retreat, we want to take a closer look at these dynamics and find out how we can guide ourselves well through the web of everyday relationships, so that more serenity, security and openness arise.

The city retreat offers the opportunity to practice mindfulness in everyday life. The weekend in the Green Room, a seminar center in the heart of Cologne, makes use of city life to demonstrate the diversity of mindfulness practice. We will meditate classically in silence, engage in mindful exchange with each other and use the city as a playing field for our exercises.

No previous knowledge of mindfulness is required. Experienced meditators and newcomers are equally welcome!
